Paper Submission


Full papers must be accompanied by an abstract summarizing the contribution the paper makes to the field. Maximum full paper length is 5 pages in two-column CPS format. All papers will be peer reviewed, and accepted papers will be included in the proceedings.

Authors are also invited to submit short (poster) papers for late-breaking results and for demo presentations. Short papers should be at most 2 pages in two-column CPS format and the short papers may not be included in the proceedings.

Author Guidelines:

Manuscript length:  5 pages maximum. This is a strict limit for initial submission. During final submission of accepted papers, authors may purchase one extra page if they find it necessary to address the concerns of the reviewers.

Single blind reviewing:  DAS 2012 follows a single-blind review process. Authors are required to include their names and affiliations in their papers as illustrated in the CPS paper formatting template.

Camera Ready Manuscript Submission

The camera ready manuscript submission is open now. All the accepted regular paper must be formatted and submitted according to the Author's Final Paper Formatting and Submission Instructions provided by CPS. The author kit's PDF eXpress service will be available on or after Friday, 23 December 2011. The Camera ready submission deadline is Friday, 6 January 2012. Maximum full paper length is 5 pages. During Camera Ready Submission of accepted papers, authors may purchase one extra page if they find it necessary to address the concerns of the reviewers.

IAPR Ethical Requirements for Authors

The IAPR requires that all authors wishing to present a paper declare that:

  •   The paper is substantially original and that no paper substantially similar in content has been submitted or will be       submitted to any other conference or journal during the DAS 2012 review period.
  •   The paper does not contain any plagiarism, and
  •   The paper will be presented in the Workshop.
The IAPR retains the right to eliminate any papers in violation of these requirements and to exclude the authors of such papers from future IAPR community activities.



IMPORTANT DATES


Full Paper Submission:    September 30, 2011  October 14, 2011  CLOSED (The paper submission website will be closed on October 14th (23.59 P.M. U.S. West Coast time) and the EasyChair website will not permit any new submission after October 14.
However, initial papers submitted by October 14, will have update permission till October 21, 2011(23.59 P.M. U.S. West Coast time), in the EasyChair website. We request you to make your initial submission (providing title, authors, and the abstract) by October 14th and submit your final manuscripts by October 21, 2011)

Camera-Ready Papers Due:   December 31, January 6, 2012
