Windows
The Windows code sets derived from the ISO family, but keep in mind they are not always compatible. For example: Windows code-page 1252 (Windows Latin-1) is a true sub-set of ISO-8859-1 (Latin-1) but Windows code-page 1250 (Windows Latin-2) is not a sub-set of ISO-8859-2 (Latin-2).
Also, keep in mind that some fonts shipped with Windows do not support Windows code sets correctly. For example, MS sans Serif is an ISO-8859-1 font and does not have glyphs for the 24 extra characters defined by Windows Latin-1 (code-page 1252).
