Localisation
Localisation, also called L10N (because there are 10 characters between the L and N), is the process of adapting a software product to different markets or locales. Localisation entails translation of the user interface, documentation and online help, as well as adaptation of the application features for the targeted locales, when deemed necessary.
You can successfully localise a software product if it has been correctly
internationalised
first.
