Internationalisation - Documentation
To create easy-to-localise documentation, carefully manage content and layout, and choose appropriate desktop-publishing software. Content should avoid jargon and cultural references whenever possible. Layout should allow for text expansion. Desktop-publishing software should support a style-preserving plain-text file format such as RTF, should automate styles, links, and footers, and should support all of your target languages. The related topics explain each of these internationalisation guidelines and describe the benefits of following them.
