Western Beach
The beach makes its way around the edge of the lake the way most beaches
that hang around the edge of the lake do, quietly. The cliffs here are
very steep, but you can make out a break in the cliff line on the
northwest side of the lake, and just east of that break, the cliffs
descend into a thick forest.
The lake looks cool and refreshing and you wonder whether you shouldn't
dive in to cool off. However, there are three things that mar this
otherwise great idea...
- You forgot your swimming clothes
- Your buffalo-skin inflatable ducky has a hole in it
- The big sign on the cliff saying ``Beware of the Hydra''
But hey, aside from that this is a great place to be! Obviously other
people think so, because you see a beach umbrella set up over near the
cliffs with a bald headed gent looking into a set of black cylinders!
To the south-east across the lake you can make out a castle clearly at the
top of the cliffs. You can also see that directly below the castle is
some sort of large hole in the cliff face. You are however too distant to
see more.
- You can..
-
Go north toward the break in the cliffs
-
Walk south toward the castle
-
