Research Teaching

Research interest: My main research interest is in Data Management, including query processing, ingegrity constraints reasoning, data cleaning, and web data extraction. I am also interested in Information Visualization, Data Mining, Information Retreival and Algorithm Design.

Research grants:

Current PhD students:

  • Xuguang Ren (with Xin-Wen Wu)
  • Sultan Alneyadi (with Elankayer Sithirasenan)
  • Nigel Franciscus (with Bela Stantic)
  • Yifan Jing (with Kewen Wang)
  • Rupam Deb (with Alan Liew)
At present I mainly teach Database-related courses. Previously I have taught in other areas such as Computer Networks, Web Design and Development, Programing, and Systems Analysis and Design.

Here is a table normalization tool developed for our Database Design course.
